Our style of consulting customers helps us serve people more effectively, so you find the firearm that is right for you. Bill’s also believes in giving back to the communities in which we work. LAX Firing Range was established on January 2, 1995. The range offers 14 fully-automated and well-ventilated shooting lanes. Each lane is up to 25 yards long and can be adjusted to varying lanes. Shooters can fire with all handgun calibers, high-powered rifles and shotguns can be fired in the range as well. Shotguns can be used with 00 Buck or slug rounds; all rifles and shotguns can be shot with our range ammunition only.
We have a large stock of ammunition in a variety of types and calibers. We sell big name brands like Remington, Winchester and Federal, in addition to our own brand of LAX ammunition. Our LAX ammo comes in both factory new and reloaded varieties. Our reloads are a great way to practice in the range for cheap, but without losing any quality.
Our large selection of gun rentals offers shooters a chance to try before they buy!
LAX Firing Range does not sell firearms; however, we do have a large pro shop with gun related accessories. You can purchase ammunition, tactical gear, knives, rifle kits and much more. Our Los Angeles shooting range also offers law enforcement sales, beginning firearms training and advanced training classes, security guard training, NRA instructor courses and specialized classes. An ultrasonic gun cleaning service is available right in the range as well. Don’t forget to come by for our annual glock tournament!

Markley's is family owned and operated. We can offer you the personal service you can depend on. Our staff has dozens of years of experience in law enforcement and military service. We can guide your range and firearm needs for professionals, sportsmen, and first time shooters.
So why the name “Markley’s”? George Markley sold guns out of his house in the late 1970's and Early 1980's, eventually establishing a store front in Scotts Valley. In 1984, Scotty and Ward bought the little store and ran it for over 10 years and eventually expanded and opened up our current location in Watsonville in 1994. After almost 25 years of successful business it was time to retire. In 2008 Santa Cruz natives Chris and Harley bought the Range bringing almost 50 years of military service and training experience with them, along with over 30 years of small business ownership. As a major gun enthusiast and competition shooter, Chris hopes to pick up where Scotty and Ward left off and take Markley's to the next step. Increasing product lines, inventory, and continued great customer service.
