I liked these so much I ended up getting two. They are quality built. Decent sized considering it fits in between wall studs. I have some pistols and mags hanging on the door and two sbr/16 inch rifle with one shelf. The space around the rifles I used magnets to hold more mags. It’s jammed packed but works great.

Did research, checked prices and compared values. The V-Line Tactical Closet was more expensive, but quality wise could not be beat! Interior space is better for other vaults of this type. Also Made in the USA…being a Veteran this is important!

I bought this tactical closet without knowing much about it. I mainly wanted to avoid carrying a heavy safe upstairs. When it arrived, I was impressed by its sturdy build, manageable weight, and perfect size. Setting it up was simple, and it looks great once installed. My only complaint is that for $700, it comes empty with no shelves or pistol racks. I think it would be a better deal if it included the closet, two shelves, and one pistol rack. I ended up ordering those separately, which was quite pricey, costing over $100 for two shelves and two racks. Still worth it for someone like me with minimal space and needing a place to secure items.

This is the best in-wall safe I could find and I’m very happy with it after a few months of use. As long as your studs are 16″OC it will install perfectly (I had to notch out 1/4″ of one of the studs since it wasn’t spaced correctly but after that the install went great) Very sturdy case with lots of options and enough room to store a rifle, shotgun and 2 pistols. The lock works smoothly every time and provides reliable quick access. It was also shipped very securely and included lag screws to mount it. I like it so much I bought another V-Line safe which is excellent as well.

I searched many vaults and watched online reviews concerning the Vline vaults as well as other brands. I chose the Vline tactical closet vault and I’m glad I did. The vault is solid and you are getting your money’s worth in quality. I imagine the other less expensive brands are not built as well from my research. I do wish the metal shelves were included. However, the tactical metal mesh on the door and magnetic barrel holders, which are included, give it some flair. Cant wait to install it!

I chose this vault for the in-wall mounting, quick access, mechanical lock, and flexible options to maximize the storage. It has done all of the above. I had to rearrange some studs in my wall, but was able to build a spot for it with no issues. I built it to the dimensions the instructions called for before receiving the vault so I could throw it in as soon as it got here, and the installation was a breeze. Fit and finish is great. There were a couple issues with the first unit that was delivered to me, but Bruce and his team were immediately responsive and rectified it – I can’t say enough about the customer service.

Just installed the Tactical Closet Vault and it looks great. Installation took a minute but the final install looks professional and doesn’t take up much space at all. Setting a new combination was easy and the construction of the vault feels solid. I picked up two of the shelves which fit really snug into the vault, but because of the depth they just don’t hold a lot.

This is a high quality in-wall locker. Installation was easy and all required hardware is included. The locking mechanism is a mechanical 5 button combo pad that allows you to set single or multiple button presses as part of the combination for a wide variety of combinations. The safe is shipped very securely with 3″ foam around the edges. Nice job V-Line!

I received my Tactical Closet Vault back in September, but I had to wait until February to install it. I agree with other reviews that the shipping box and packing were top notch, and mine arrived in perfect shape. The door and lock both operate beautifully; simple and intuitive, but very sturdy. Installation was a breeze, and I appreciated the included bonuses (gun-cleaning cloth, corrosion inhibitor squares, etc.). I found V-Line because it’s one of the only companies that offers an in-wall safe option, but I’m very happy with the quality and the fact that it’s “Made in the USA”!

This safe was very easy to install, even though my studs weren’t 16 inches on center, I had no issue adding studs to my wall and everything worked out perfectly. If I did have studs 16 inches on center, it would have only taken me maybe an hour to gather my tool, cut, mount and clean up. I also purchased the extra kit to mount my rifle and purchased the handgun hangers. Everything was top quality! I really love the fact that this safe takes up practically no space.

Installation is easy. The dimensions are just right for standard wall construction. Access into the vault makes it very convenient to quickly address any “need” that may arise. I prefer the Simplex lock system which eliminates the common biometric or lost key issues. Low tech is sometimes the best tech. This vault is SOLID!
The shipping with a solid 2″ of foam around the entire product makes it darn near impossible to damage.

I purchased this item instead of a huge gun-safe. This is an awesome alternative to huge gun safes for a reason. If you move, this will be much easier to move than a large gun safe. This gun safe is easier to conceal at a house (put a long mirror on reverse hinges over top of it), then people will not even know you have it. I wish V-Line would make a long mirror cover for this item for that exact purpose – I know many people who wish to securely hide their rifles. The lock works great every single time, buttons are very clicky when pushing them down. I fit 2 gauge shot guns, an AK, and an AR-15 in mine. I have mine in the basement and plan on buying a second one in the future for my bedroom closet.
Dear V-line, if you make an optional add-on mirror with hidden hinges, I can sell a dozen of these safes almost immediately.
